Whitsunday Paradise is an iconic $1.1 billion mixed-use development in Bowen that was recently granted approval by Whitsunday Regional Council. Geleon were engaged by Homeland Property Development Pty Ltd to prepare the Traffic Impact Assessment (TIA) to support the Development Application to Whitsunday Regional Council, with the development proposing 1,931 residential lots, an over 55's precinct and multiple mixed-use density housing. The development also proposes the establishment of a supporting major sports complex and a commercial precinct.

Prepared in accordance with the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR), Guide to Traffic Impact Assessment, a TIA report was prepared that considered existing conditions of the external road network, determined anticipated traffic generation of the proposed development and distribution to the road network, undertook SIDRA intersection analysis to determine the impacts to the external road network, determine appropriate mitigation measures and an infrastructure timeline to detail the proposed roll-out of required road upgrades.

Following liaison with TMR, Geleon undertook transport planning activities and prepared Road Link Planning drawings and cost estimates for the proposed road and intersection upgrades forming part of the Infrastructure Agreement with TMR.
