The intersection of Labrador - Carrara Road (Ross Street) and Ashmore Road was upgraded in 2016 by the Department of Transport and Main Roads (TMR) through its appointed Contractor, McIlwain Civil. 

The $30 million dollar upgrade project to convert the existing roundabout to a signalised intersection was undertaken to improve the performance through the intersection, reduce traffic congestion, traffic delays and queue lengths, while improving traffic flows and safety for all road users. 

Geleon were engaged by TMR to provide Specialist Contractor services to manage the design and delivery phase of the intersection upgrade project with construction completed in September 2016.
